Regular maintenance is extremely important in order to keep cleaning machinery in a normal condition, maximize the service life and reduce the repair cost. Furthermore, correct and frequent maintenance can also ensure operators’ safety and protect their property. Thus, how should we carry out maintenance of the floor sweeper?
Batteries are the most important power supply of the sweeper and should be maintained with great caution. The operator is supposed to add acid liquid regularly and charge the batteries when they are fully discharged. If the sweeper is not about to be used within a long time, it should be stored at a cool and dry place to avoid exposure to sunlight or moisture.
Before use, check the degree of wear of the main brush and the side brushes. If the brushes are seriously worn, they cannot touch well with the ground and should be replaced to avoid low cleaning efficiency.
After using the appliance, empty and clean the debris hopper immediately. Clean or replace the filter if it is blocked.
Remove the winding hair and other substances on the main brush and the side brushes because they will both affect the cleaning effects and block the filter. They may also increase the load of the batteries and reduce their service life.
Apply lubricants to the key components of the appliance (sweeping motor, chains, etc.) to avoid rust. Check whether the wires of the machine are worn, since they are easily short-circuited when exposed to water.
Pay attention to the working area during the cleaning process. Flammable items such as cigarette butts should be removed manually, or they may be sucked into the appliance and lead to accidents.
Repair of machinery is similar to finding a few grains of sand in a pile of rice. The difficulty consists in finding the cause of a fault instead of how a problem should be solved. Daily maintenance is a solid guarantee for this and is even better than purchasing a new machine. Only with correct maintenance can we extend the service life of our machinery and boost our working efficiency.
